2025 will mark thirteen years that this ministry has been in service. What started as a small group who met at church became an equally sized online group. Over the years, people continue to discover this work, and while I consider myself an “unknown” voice, I did host over 31,000 new visitors to my website with over 90,000 downloads of my teaching content in over 12 countries. My blog adds another 10,000 and 20 countries annually. My content serves roughly 5,000-8,000 people a week, and I praise God for each and every person who finds this work because I do very little promotion.

Any ministry that speaks truth to power will have an uphill battle. This is no different. The world is full of angry Atheist deconstructionists who mock religion and reject the Bible. This is no such a ministry. I do not throw the baby out with the bathwater. I use a scalpel more than a sledgehammer to illuminate the voice of scripture and liberate its message from two-thousand years of church history. I prove religious deconstruction is the biblical message, not the rejection of the Bible. Like other prophetic voices, this work embraces the burden of calling religion out on its unbiblical overreach and institutional impotence in saving anyone. Like a concierge, I point all comers to discover Christ in and as their very own life. Christ following is transformation, religion is transaction, Christ following is completion, religion is conversion, Christ following is restoration, religion is retribution. To date, I have’t taken a dime for all of this work, because it’s in my heart to do. That’s it. Nothing to join. Just “be” in God through faith in Christ.

I explain the foundation of this ministry because there are many new people in recent months who are stilly “kicking the tires.” I want everyone to know that I’m not trying to be anything, I’m not emulating anything, I’m not disgruntled, angry or trying to pick a fight. I’m not throwing shade, or being hyper-critical about religion and faith. I’m picking the scabs that need healing and how these harm our world. I seek to provide a biblical correction to all things, which many don’t understand. People who are over-identified with a tribe, religion, or denomination, will feel the sting of God’s message. This is what makes this ministry polarizing. Some immediately unsubscribe, others come to greatly appreciate my “no-filter” approach, as I provide a biblical roadmap back to Christ and not to manmade religion. What sounds really wrong at first, begins to liberate us once we experience it. We must stop defending our institutions which name us, and look honestly at these things. If you’re new, give it at least 6 months…then decide.

We started 2024 with our Marriage Tune Up and it became tied with my parenting series as the second most downloaded series in the history of this work. The number one downloaded series remains my series on Hell. The most common feedback I get is how quickly a broken, painful marriage can begin healing, by just changing the framework of our understanding…namely that most people are not in a marriage, but are in a living or perpetual divorce. Thanks to all of you who had the guts to wrestle with these principles, and I’m so thankful to those who have shared your success stories with me. True miracles have taken place. I hope it helps even more of you.

We also spent 32 weeks working through the book of Romans. This is the Apostle Paul’s opus of theological training, and it has been the source of much corruption, confusion, and religious overreach. I employed a true hermeneutic which freed Paul’s work from the doctrines, dogmas, and denominations, and correctly enlarged Paul’s gospel beyond the tribal power plays of Evangelicalism. The crown jewel of Romans 3:23-24 was the most obvious critique whereby we did what no pastor seems willing to do…we read verse 24 with verse 23.

“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ²⁴ and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,…”

All sinners ARE JUSTIFIED by grace as a gift through Christ. Yes, getting this verse right means we had to disassemble and reassemble the doctrine of grace, and all of Paul’s theology, but it was surprisingly easy and straight-forward, and took weeks not decades to do. Imagine that, the Gospel, hiding in plain sight for all these centuries. Paul says: “You’re welcome.”

For those who think I unfairly critique religion, and who wish I’d go on to something else… I offer this: I’m not unfair, I’m being critical because I seek the Church’s reform. This is a ministry that serves many pastors and church leaders and they agree with the Bible’s subversive message to religion. While I may suggest changes that are beyond many of their will or skill to execute, I still prefer this to the prideful pastors who feel threatened by me and just dismisses me without ever considering this message.

That’s why I appreciated it when my listeners send podcasts to their pastors and church leaders. Some of you are using this content for your small groups, while others find it too divisive. Whatever you do with it, I hope you’ll prayerfully consider what is said and the biblical basis for why I say it. Then, let it lead you where it will. I have no design for you, I don’t seek your money, as I’m not building an empire or a “thing” at all. I seek only to lean into the Spirit’s prompting through my process of contemplation and study each week, and offer to you a message in fidelity to whatever I’m graced to receive.
